The flagship store and glassblowing studio sit in a restored mill alongside the Ottauquechee River, powered by the river's turbine. Watch trained artisans hand-blow glassware and pottery from the viewing deck, then browse the showroom for pieces you can take home. The on-site Simon Pearce Restaurant offers riverside dining with every plate and glass made on premises -- a remarkable experience. Tour Billings Farm & Museum
Continue into Woodstock and head to Billings Farm & Museum, one of the oldest operating dairy farms in America and a living museum of Vermont agriculture. You'll find a working Jersey dairy farm, restored 1890s farmhouse, interactive exhibits, and daily programs like milking demonstrations and farm animal encounters. Walk Through Vermont's Only National Park
Right next door to Billings Farm sits the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park -- Vermont's only national park. The park tells the story of American conservation through the Marsh, Billings, and Rockefeller families, with 20 miles of carriage roads and hiking trails winding through managed forest on the slopes of Mount Tom. The mansion offers guided tours (fee applies), but the grounds and trails are free to explore. Explore Woodstock's Village Center
Spend the afternoon wandering Woodstock's picture-perfect downtown. Start at F.H. Gillingham & Sons, Vermont's oldest family-owned general store, established in 1886 at 16 Elm Street. Cross the Middle Covered Bridge -- one of the few remaining wooden covered bridges in Vermont open to traffic -- and stroll the village green. If you need a coffee break, Mon Vert Cafe on Central Street is the go-to spot for espresso, pastries, and light lunch.
